The Working Higher project is a brand new approach providing flexible work-based solutions for workforce development and training.
Delivered by university partners to industry standards, Working Higher includes foundation degree and CPD modules. Developed with and for employers the programmes apply and embed business improvements, scientific knowledge and technical skills within the workplace.
Programmes incorporate e-learning, day release, distance learning, on-site support, short residential blocks, work-based learning and can accredit in-house training.
Working Higher supports the development of process, laboratory and engineering technicians and operators and other related roles.
The universities chosen to deliver the Working Higher project are:
- Refining and Petrochemicals Industry - University of Hull
- Nuclear Industry – University of Central Lancashire
- Chemical Industry - Manchester Metropolitan University
- Polymers Industry - London Metropolitan University
- Biosciences/Pharmaceutical Industry - University of Kent
