Types of Access

1. If your company uses MAPS, an interface has been developed to allow MAPS and Vantage to interact. MAPS users will still use their MAPS system as normal with information being fed to and from Vantage automatically.

2. Users of other POB systems can access Vantage in two ways: - · By means of an interface to Vantage (the preferred option) · By sending/receiving data in flat file format

3. Those companies without their own tracking system (contractors/service companies and smaller operators) can access the system in two ways:

• Via the internet (Cogent are the system administrators and should be contacted for URL/password access)
• By sending/receiving data in flat file format

4. Larger companies will already communicate via the Opnet delivered by DMS.

5. Other options include dial up connection to the server. Companies should contact cogent in the first instance to discuss the optimal system for your company.
