As a voice for employers, Cogent has a role in representing employer views on skills issues and related policies to Government, Scottish Executive, National Assembly for Wales (Cynulliad Cenedlaethol Cymru), Northern Ireland Assembly, Government Agencies. Cogent uses employment research findings as the basis for responses to consultations to develop evidence based policy. In addition, the views of employers and stakeholders are sought in relation to specific consultations to ensure the validity of responses. Consultations relevant to our Sector will be listed on this website. Employers are encouraged - either through this site or by contacting the Cogent Research and Policy Team direct - to provide their views on proposed policies.
