Train to Gain is
the new service from the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) that provides free,
specialist, impartial advice to employers. 21,000 employers are already reaping
the benefits of the service which assesses what skills and training employers
need and matches these with an appropriate training provider. A Skills Broker
will work with the company to work out what it needs based on a clear
understanding of individual business goals. They will source suitable courses
and funding available, and agree a tailored training package, with training
delivered at a time and place to suit the business – including on
site. The service is
free to all employers and some training may also have subsidized funding from
Government – for example first full Level 2 qualifications, Apprenticeships,
Advanced Apprenticeships and some Level 3 training. Each Broker is an
independent specialist advisor trained to national quality standards who acts
100% in the interests of the business.
