The Cogent Sector Skills Pledge
Cogent - Skills for Science Based IndustriesTo compete successfully in today’s global markets a skilled workforce is essential. All the research shows that skilled employees bring significant business benefits.

Are you committed to training your workforce?

Why not demonstrate your commitment and in doing so access financial support in meeting your training objectives.

By signing the Cogent Sector Skills Pledge you are indicating your commitment to training your workforce and in return you will receive the help in accessing, planning and funding your training needs.

Cogent has developed a Skills Pledge for your industry that reflects the skills challenges for science based industries more broadly. The Cogent Sector Skills Pledge is part of the Government’s wider Skills Pledge initiative that has already been signed companies representing over 4.7m employees.

The Cogent Skills Pledge has 3 elements

1. Commitment to train employees to world class standards
2. Accreditation of employee’s training including company training
3. Use of quality assured training providers

In simple terms Cogent is seeking a commitment (not a contractual obligation) from you to train and accredit your workforce using high quality, value-adding training.
