National Brokerage Service
What is the National Brokerage Service?

The National Brokerage Service, working closely with the National Skills Academies for Process and Nuclear, is designed to help businesses diagnose both their workforce development and their wider business needs.

The Brokerage Service can guide employers to the right business support – to help their business grow, train, export, innovate, and gain access to finance – through a wide range of services.

The National Brokerage Service runs alongside Train to Gain and the service providers use Train to Gain as a gateway to offer employers a skills analysis directly linked to their business needs.

Employers can then be directed to free or partly subsidised training (available via the Cogent Sector Compact) and also referred to providers that can best meet their training needs.

The Brokerage Service is co-ordinated by a number of key stakeholders including Regional Development Agencies.

Is the support free?

You can get advice from a broker or Skills Academy at no cost to your business. Training your staff properly requires a financial and time investment from you, but your broker will help you find any funding and subsidies you are eligible for.

How will they help my business to get the skills it needs?

Your broker will help you to:

  • identify the skills that will boost your business
  • create a tailored package of training and support
  • find reliable local colleges and training providers
  • find funding to complement your investment
  • evaluate the training and support you receive to ensure real results

Please contact us if you would like to be put in touch with the brokerage service.
