Central
to the Cogent strategy is that training supply and skills development, and the
related systems of qualifications, should be employer-led. Cogent is working on
a number of key programmes including revising apprenticeships, Skills Academies
and upskilling the cogent sector workforce. We are developing these programmes
in close collaboration with education and training providers.
Providers
now have an unprecedented opportunity to make a big difference to how education
and training in the sector is delivered and funded. Cogent is working with
Further Education Colleges, Higher Education Institutes, Universities, training
providers and consultants to develop high quality provision across the sector,
building on the best that’s already available.
