UK Nuclear Skills Awards Dinner
02 Sep 2009

Cogent SSC and The National Skills Academy for Nuclear are delighted to announce their second collaborative UK Nuclear Skills Awards Dinner, which will be held at the Palace Hotel, Manchester on the 11th February 2010.

The event follows on from the highly successful 2009 event and aims to celebrate both the industry’s continued success and, equally importantly, outstanding individual achievement.

The profile of the UK nuclear industry is changing.  Indeed the speed with which nuclear energy has returned to the policy agenda is both exciting and extraordinary, with nuclear power now seen as the best option for meeting British energy targets.

This is an industry that needs the very highest skill levels not only to lead in the field of nuclear decommissioning, but also due course in New Build.

The evening will focus on the outstanding achievements by Apprentices, Foundation Degree Students and HND students, and highlight the contribution they are making to their employers.  Also on the night the Cogent Award for Outstanding Leadership in Skills will be presented.

The evening will begin with a pre dinner drinks reception before the main awards dinner.   Following feedback from last years event, we have now added and post awards drinks reception as an additional networking opportunity to end the evening.

Providing the pre dinner entertainment will be ELLEctrified, an all girl electronic string quartet, who will be completing a fully choreographed stage show before dinner.

Join us for an exciting evening which promises to be the Nuclear event of 2010!
