Cogent has now completed an extensive consultation exercise with employers and stakeholders to develop its Sector Qualification Strategy. The document provides an overview of the qualifications available across the six Cogent industries, how they are used, whether they are valued, and the issues which will drive the development of future qualifications. It also presents a vision for the future of qualifications, and the principles which underpin this.
The next
step for Cogent is to develop a detailed action plan to identify activities
which will take place over the next 12 months to implement our qualifications
strategy.The plan is being generated in
consultation with our key partners e.g. employers, National Skills Academies,
awarding bodies etc.It will be
available to view on the Cogent website at the end of January 2008.
