This is your chance to be part of a major Government/Industry initiative
creating opportunities for companies in the North of England to get involved in delivering a new
generation of nuclear power stations in the UK.
WHY NUCLEAR? - The government has called on British companies to get involved in an expansion of the UK nuclear supply chain which could generate more than £20 billion worth of work - and create thousands of jobs in your area
IT'S INTERACTIVE - Come and speak to key nuclear industry experts and decision-makers about how your company could become part of the nuclear supply chain. Interactive sessions, presentations and one-to-one access with excellent networking opportunities will focus on the key quality assurance and accreditation requirements and business support - a perfect event for all business development managers
SC@nuclear - is a major industry/government initiative aimed at providing information on how to get involved in the nuclear scene, what requirements will be needed and what support is available for companies currently working in the sector, not already involved, or for those thinking of returning to nuclear.
HOW DOES IT WORK? - The events are being supported by three Regional Development Agencies - NWDA, Yorkshire Forward and One North-East.
This event is open ONLY to manufacturers in areas covered by these agencies.
Numbers are strictly limited to 100 places per day - maximum two per company.
Companies should register for one day only, as the agenda will be the same for both days.
Companies outside these areas should email [email protected] to express interest in future regional events
SHOULD I HAVE A LOOK? - Definitely. This event is perfect for manufacturing, construction and civil and instrumentation engineering companies at Tier 2, 3 and 4 level. This event will put you in direct contact with the nuclear vendors and Tier 1 companies who are looking to expand their supply chain partnerships now.
The Nuclear Industry Association is coordinating the event and will offer a range of support materials and information on how to get involved in this multi-billion pound programme
This first set of workshops has been convened with the Northern Wa at the Royal Armouries International, Leeds, 19 & 20 May.
