The inaugural Chemicals Northwest Awards, which will be attended by 400 chemical industry professionals, will take place on Thursday, 14th May 2009 at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate.
The Awards will provide the region’s chemical sector with a credible,
professional and high quality evening to recognise and to celebrate the
achievements of individuals and companies working in the sector from across the
region. The Awards will honour innovation and young talent in the industry as
well as recognise best practice and sustainability.
Cogent and National Skills Academy Process Industry are proud to support this event and shall be sponsoring The Investor in Training Award. This award will be given to the company who has shown
significant commitment to training its current and future employees through a
strategic approach to workforce development. The award is open to all North West Companies (or sites operating independently within the North West). Any size of organisation will be considered for this award.
Within the criteria judges will be looking at current strategy and evidence of which entrants have achieved. Entrants should also be able to describe the benefits to employees of training programmes and show how the commitment to training is designed to improve business performance.
