 The Skills for Business in the
North West is pleased to invite you to attend a
major conference to demonstrate how, working collaboratively with partners, we
can enhance skills levels in the North
West to drive up productivity and meet other key
regional objectives.
A series of presentations led by key
employers in the region will be given, including by:
- Vic Hewitt - Chief Executive of the North Western
Local Authorities' Employers' Organisation
- Sir Alan Jones - Chairman, Emeritus of Toyota Motor Manufacturing (UK)
Ltd
- A senior spokesperson from the BBC North
Project
Professor Mike Campbell, Director of
Development at the Sector Skills Development Agency, will highlight
the
economic and social impact of
skills and
how the sector agenda influences priorities for the North West, while the
conference will also examine
how employers and Sector Skills
Councils are working together to raise skills in the
region.
There will also be the opportunity
to attend one of the following workshops, led by SSCs, focusing on the following
key priorities for the North
West:
- Train to
Gain
- Employability
- Management &
Leadership
