The Tom McIntosh Trainee of the Year Award is presented annually to the trainee on the oil and gas technician training scheme, managed by Cogent SSL on behalf of the upstream industry, judged to have made the best progress and shown the most potential. The scheme has over two hundred trainees at various stages of the 3½-year programme.
