John Ramsay, Chief Executive of Cogent SSC Ltd has announced his intention to retire in July 2005 after more than ten years with Cogent and OPITO, the predecessor National Training Organisation for the Oil and Gas Industry.
John Mumford OBE, Cogent's Chairman said: " John Ramsay has done a great job in building up Cogent to this point. His experience and leadership has guided our industries and our partners into a productive relationship focused on our vital skills needs.
"Cogent is now well positioned to broaden and strengthen its engagement with stakeholders and employers across all our sectors."
John Ramsay will shortly be locating the Chief Executive role in Cogent's recently opened Warrington office to increase accessibility and visibility to industry and partners across the UK.
The Cogent Board are now actively seeking a successor to John Ramsay to allow for a handover period from Spring 2005. Leeds-based Tribal Resourcing have been appointed as recruitment consultants for the process and they will commence advertising for the post later this month.
