Cogent has begun a comprehensive review and prioritisation of qualifications and learning provision across its six industries and the four nations of the UK. Sector Qualifications Strategies are a key mechanism for the delivery of the Leitch vision of employer driven skills supply. The work follows on directly from the important conclusions reached in the Sector Skills Agreement (SSA) process
Cogent has been consulting with employers and
stakeholders to define a shared vision of qualifications and learning provision
based on the detailed picture of skills needs established through the SSA. The
detailed action plans which follow will deliver real improvements to
qualification structure, content, assessment and delivery in line with
employers’ needs. We are cuirrently inviting organisations to contribute
