SSDA are looking for a Communication Manager - Qualification Reform to plan, implement and evaluate an imaginative, comprehensive, external and internal proactive communications and media relations strategy to support the SSDA and Skills for Business network’s role in the current reform of qualifications.
The Skills for Business network aims to drive up the productivity and profitability of UK businesses. The network is made up of the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA) and Sector Skills Councils (SSCs).
The Skills for Business network of Sector Skills Councils is working to give employers the skills they need to make the UK the most productive nation on earth. That means making sure qualifications give employers people with the right skills, at the right time, in the right place.
The Sector Skills Development Agency, part of the Skills for Business network, is looking for a brilliant all-rounder to help drive forward qualifications reform. You could be dealing with Diplomas, advertising Apprenticeships or working on vocational qualifications.
You'll need to be a team player with excellent writing, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; political sensitivity; proven people and project management skills; a high level of organisational ability and the drive and focus to get the job done. Some background knowledge and experience of education and skills would also be an advantage.
