The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) has established Baker Energy, as its first Approved Centre in the United States.
This status gives Baker, part of the Michael Baker Corporation, the ability to offer Assessor and Verifier qualifications, as well as having access to other qualifications developed by SQA. SQA has international experience in offering a full range of qualifications which are fit for purpose for the training and development needs of the Oil and Gas industry. These qualifications are based on competence standards set by Cogent.

Recently, SQA reinforced their commitment to the Oil and Gas sector by successfully participating in ‘Getenergy 2005’ in Houston. This event took place to help the oil and gas industry meet the challenge of education, training and knowledge transfer, globally.
