Cogent works on projects for the collective nuclear industry, or for subgroups or individual companies. Below is a list of projects and other activities in progress or past for the nuclear industry in March 2007:
Nuclear Safety Case Author Development:
Cogent is setting up an industry group in 2007 to work on the development process for Safety Case Authors in the industry
Passports for Nuclear Site Induction:
Cogent is working with employers to develop a standard for nuclear site induction training and a passport system for maintaining a secure and transferable record of the training.
Apprenticeships:
Cogent will develop with employers a nuclear top-up package for apprentices.

Schools Curriculum Energy Foresight
- Will improve science and nuclear content of secondary curriculum
- Cogent assisting the project to secure funding for full implementation
- Second pilot funded by NDA 2007
- First Pilot group of North West schools started in September 2004
