Cogent, the National Skills Academies have a national network of Skills Managers who are able to advise on national and local funding opportunities.

Cogent and the National Skills Academy Process Industries have secured over £2m of support for training in the sector from the government.

Apprenticeship funding is available from the National Apprenticeship Service (NAS).

Cogent and the Skills Academies for the Process and Nuclear Industries will support you in the process to develop a skilled, competent workforce.

The National Skills Academy Process Industries has developed a comprehensive system to assess workforce capability against the independently verified industry Gold Standard.

The Skills Academies contract with providers throughout the UK who meet their rigorous standards to ensure the highest quality provision is obtained.

Accreditation of Employer Training

At the heart of Cogentâ€™s remit to upskill and re-skill sector employers is the Cogent Gold Standard. This is an industry-endorsed Competency Framework for individuals in the chemicals industry.

The Assessment System for Employer Training (ASET) is being developed and delivered by the National Skills Academy Process Industries.
