Chemicals Northwest and NSAPI have joined forces to put together a days’ event to inform the chemical sector about the operational aspects of the Academy. Updating you the latest on the standards that will underpin the work of the academy, it’s partners and stakeholders. Discussing how an employer can begin to get involved. Telling you what can expect from the Academy. Hearing how industry has already benefitted from this approach. Plus an opportunity to ask lots of questions.
The National Skills Academy Process
Industries is a unique network of
employer-led centres of excellence for
skills training. It will provide a means
for hands-on involvement by employers
in the design and delivery of learning,
so that training is tailored to the specific
needs of the Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals,
and Polymer industries.

The website provides visitors with a highly flexible, user-friendly navigation experience as well as options for interactive knowledge transfer through a secure ‘collaboration’ area and on-line conferencing facility.
Cogent would like to highlight and draw your attention to this important UK Skills for Science national conference to be held on Tuesday 17 July 2007 in York.
As part of the Sector Qualifications Strategy Cogent has commissioned a mapping exercise of the key occupations and functions across the sector. It will involve close consultation with employers through a series of workshops.
