Meeting Notes
The Royal Academy of Engineering kindly funded the initial research phase of the Nuclear Island programme. This funding helped to support the hosting of three events during October and November 2010, and a final event in March 2011. All event information and follow up reports can be found below.
The Nuclear Island programme has now received additional funding to turn the findings from these events into a National Pilot Programme which runs between March 2011 and June 2012.
During this period, the project team will work closely with higher and further education, employers and key stakeholders to develop a openly available module that will ensure key skills and behaviours for nuclear new build can be delivered to students, with packages available to support academic and employer engagement.
