Building a skilled workforce for Life Sciences SMEs
01 Mar 2012

Invitation to a series of Skills Clinics.

  • London BioScience Innovation Centre (LBIC): 15 March
  • The BioIndustry Association (BIA): 21 March
  • Cambridge Cluster: 27 March
  • Bionow: 16 March

Small and micro companies want to be sustainable, want to grow and want to be the best in their field. They recognise the need for a skilled workforce, often high skilled and world class, but find it difficult to identify skills gaps or training solutions when such gaps are identified.

Cogent, with key partners, is seeking to support SMEs that have science at their heart, ensuring that the qualifications and training they need are fit-for-purpose.

We’d like to invite you to these important networking events to explore:

  • The Gold Standard competency framework, specifically designed for and by the industry to meet the needs of the science sector. The Gold Standard framework provides SMEs with a skills map for world class performance
  • We’ll also illustrate good practice from America and demonstrate a direction of travel for life sciences world wide
  • We'll seek to determine, with your input, current good practice and emerging skills development issues and opportunities

Our aim is to develop with you:

  • Training with immediate business impact
  • Short courses
  • Very focused training courses
  • Flexible delivery models/value for money

We hope you can join us for this important discussion.
