A limited number of places are still available at this seminar run by the British Measurement and Testing Association (BMTA).
Held at the Food and Environmental Research Agency (FERA) near York the seminar will examine the qualifications and training opportunities available for laboratory staff.
Speakers will include representatives from the Science Council who will discuss the role and importance of technicians in the context of two new professional registers, Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) and Registered Scientist (RSci).
After lunch, delegates will have the opportunity for an extended tour of FERA's food and environmental laboratories.
