The NESTet Programme will feature the following topics:

  • Setting the Scene: the education and training challenge
  • What are the needs with regard to nuclear education and training?
  • How to motivate people to choose a career in nuclear?
  • Developing skills for tomorrow’s leaders
  • Centres of Excellence: Academia and their programmes
  • What must be done to close the knowledge gap?
  • What must be done to promote harmonisation?
  • What is the situation with regards to infrastructure and tools for nuclear education and training?
  • What role for international co-operation?

As some of the presentations are of potential interest to students of nuclear subjects the European Nuclear Society decided to open the conference for free to those students. The conference will also be an opportunity to get in contact with companies and other providers of education programmes.

For further information, please contact Kirsten Epskamp at the ENS office ([email protected])

The European Nuclear Young Generation Forum 2011 (ENYGF) will take place right after the NESTet 2011 conference. ENYGF 2011 is a meeting of young professionals in nuclear that is organised jointly by the Czech Young Generation and the Young Generation Network of the European Nuclear Society. The event will take place on 18 - 22 May 2011 in a venue close to the NESTet 2011 venue.

The forum is an opportunity for young professionals to present their work to colleagues from all around Europe. For others, it can be an opportunity to meet talented young people. You are invited to sign in for this event on www.enygf.eu.
