TAS/ID 1 - Work to develop innovative learning content and produce materials to support the remote delivery of the knowledge requirements for the polymer units within the BTEC Level 3 Engineering and Applied Science qualifications.
The newly formed Technical Apprenticeship Service (TAS) is an employer led
organisation. The TAS aims to increase Apprenticeship numbers and therefore the
uptake of Cogent Gold Standard Apprenticeship frameworks in the Process Sector
by addressing barriers: in this case to establish a new approach to the delivery
of specialist technical knowledge in areas which have previously lacked
specialist training provision.
To this end the TAS has secured funding through the UKCES to develop learning
content and produce materials specifically to satisfy the knowledge requirement
for six polymer based units which are currently within the BTEC Level 3
Subsidiary Diploma in Applied Science and with plans for these units to become
optional units within the Advanced Manufacturing / Engineering framework.
The key objective of developing the specific content and materials is to
enable remote delivery.
We are therefore looking to secure the services of technical experts to
develop the learning content and produce the materials including interactive
media on behalf of the Technical Apprenticeship Service.
The learning
content and materials will be endorsed by the Awarding Body for BTEC
qualifications and potentially any other Awarding Bodies who subsequently offer
the units. This endorsement will form the basis of the final milestone and “sign
off” of the work.
