Nuclear’s Next Generation, is being organised by major players in the UK nuclear industry and will focus on the vital energy issues of the day and offer valuable insights into the UK’s energy future and the global marketplace. This major energy event will showcase the UK’s nuclear expertise and capability for a global offer and will feature updates on UK energy policy, a perspective on the global scene – and feature an international trade exhibition sure to attract delegates and exhibitors from around the world.
The global nuclear renaissance continues to gather momentum, particularly in the UK which is attracting interest from many parts of the world. So it is appropriate that issues such as global opportunities, supply chain, the skills gap, regulation and international best practices will be examined in carefully crafted sessions featuring some of the leading international speakers and commentators on the energy scene.
Joanna Woolf CEO of Cogent will be talking about the delivery of skills to meet the challenges ahead and launching the second of the Cogent Renaissance series of Nuclear Labour Market Intelligence reports. Next Generation: Skills for New Build Nuclear brings together all the key stakeholders, and stretches from construction blueprint to commission of the next generation of nuclear power stations. The data collection is based upon Cogent’s clearly defined key job roles across all areas of the nuclear industry, which include competence and qualification requirements now and in the future. All of this sits on a training framework which supports the Skills Academy’s Nuclear Skills Passport and will ensure a flow of skilled people into the Sector.

UKT&I have assisted in attracting a number of overseas delegates from both mature and developing nuclear countries. For the latter, there is a special pre-conference seminar on 1 March to make these invited delegates aware of the UK processes and expertise in setting up and operating a civil nuclear infrastructure. These delegates will also attend the main event, NNB2010 and hold one-to-one meetings being arranged through UKTI.
There are still sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for further details please contact the Nuclear Industry Association [email protected] or call 020 7766 6648.
This conference and international trade exhibition is an event not to be missed and is an excellent opportunity in promoting and highlighting the UK's nuclear expertise
