Train to Gain Sector Compact
A training fund is available to employers in the Cogent Sector as part of a three year deal between Cogent SSC and the Government in England, which for the first time, allows the funding of second level two and three qualifications as part of the Learning and Skills Council’s Train to Gain initiative. A Cogent Train to Gain “Sector Compact” has now been signed with government.
Employers will now be able to access funding for a repeat level 2 and level 3 qualifications.

Accreditation of Employer Training

The Cogent Train to Gain Compact is part of the wider Train to Gain initiative. It is a collective investment - with employers, Cogent and the Government working together to boost your business by improving the skills of your individual staff members. 

The Assessment System for Employer Training (ASET) is being developed and delivered by the National Skills Academy Process Industries.
