Cogent the Skills Council for the Nuclear Industry and partner organisation the National Skills Academy for Nuclear are delighted to announce their fourth collaborative UK Nuclear Skills Awards Dinner, which will be held at the Palace Hotel, Manchester on the 22nd March 2012.
The UK Nuclear Skills Awards is steadily becoming an anticipated annual event in the Nuclear calendar. The National Skills Academy for Nuclear and Cogent Sector Skills Council are preparing to hold their fourth collaborative Skills Awards Evening for the industry.
Unite the Union and Prospect have expressed their wholehearted support for Cogent SSC’s Apprenticeship training initiative, which is set to receive funding from the Government’s £50m Growth and Innovation Fund.
The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has given its support to three key Cogent employer-led projects. These projects are set to deliver skills for growth in the Skills Council’s science-using Sector and will receive funding from the Government’s £50m Growth and Innovation Fund (GIF).
Cogent has launched its Skills Action Plan for Growth in UK Life Sciences. The Plan articulates “One Voice”, bringing together the interests of key sections of the UK bioeconomy, to ensure skills development meets industry needs.
